Wilfred Green Celebrity Autograph Collection

Wilfred Green lived and worked in Kent, England, and one of his hobbies was to write to the superstars and celebrities of the day asking for their autograph or a signed photo. Wilfred was so successful in his venture that he collected almost a thousand signed items in his quest. Many of these autographed mementoes came with signed letters with personal messages from the famous correspondent. 

We, at Blue Eyed Books, have been asked to catalogue and offer for sale, Wilfred's entire autograph collection. Such an immense task is not without problems given the sheer size and collectability of the items, not to mention the star power of the autographers.  

This website is the first step in cataloguing and making public Wilfred's vast wealth of treasures. While we sort and sift through the hundreds of signed photos, letters, compliments slips and other memorabilia, this website will remain a work in progress as we upload, value and further research each individual item.

PLEASE NOTE: As this large collection has come to us via a third party, and many of the items are from the 1930s on, we have no direct link to the original authenticity of any item. We have where possible identified as many "pre-printed" autographs etc as we have been able; while some signatures may still be of a questionable origin.
